When you receive your Pack please check the Club directory and inform the General Secretary of any errors or changes in your Club details without delay.
CLUB WELFARE OFFICERS 2008-09.
As you are aware the Football Association is making it mandatory that all youth football clubs have a trained and qualified Club Welfare Officer as soon as possible, failing which, in the near future, your Club will not be able to affiliate to its County Association and therefore will not be able to play football.
The Notts F.A. Child Welfare Officer needs to arrange Child Protection Best Practice workshops for those who need to obtain this certificate.
If you do not have a trained person within your Club, who must be certificated through 'The Media Group', please contact the League Secretary Peter Burton or the League Welfare Officer, Mick Walker, as soon as possible.
MATCH RESULTS.
Please remember to e-mail (or telephone) the appropriate information about your match as per the details on page five of the information directory. We need all the relevant information to enable us to write a comprehensive press report to include all teams.
Remember that we need the names of scorers for BOTH teams, (including their first names).

In past months there has been much concern about the safety of boots with 'blade' type studs. Whilst this type of boot is legal, we strongly advise that you discourage players from purchasing such boots.

TOURNAMENTS.
Please remember that if your Club is organizing, or entering a tournament they will need permission from the Notts F.A.
To this end your Club Secretary has been issued with guidelines for the following:-
a) Application for sanction of Club tournament.
b) Applying to enter a tournament.
c) Age limits.
Please ensure that all your Club officials are aware of the contents of this document and if any advice or assistance is required contact the County Youth Secretary at the Notts F.A. office
(0115 941 8954)
NOTTS F.A. FINES.
If you receive any misconduct forms and fines from the Notts F.A. please ensure that you respond to these before the deadline date.
Delays in responding to charges and non payment of fines will result in fines being increased and or Clubs being suspended.
If you require any assistance or advice on these please contact the Disciplinary department at the Notts F.A. office (0115 941 8954)
REFEREE'S.
As you are aware there is a shortage of Referee's, not only in this County but throughout the Country. Some Clubs seem to think they can 'demand' a Referee, this is not acceptable.
The Referee's Secretary is doing all he can to secure the services of as many Referee's as possible but we are in the hands of the Notts F.A. who train and register Referee's.
Furthermore, the inappropriate actions of some Clubs does not encourage Referee's to continue and many decide to give up due to the abuse they receive.
We urge all Clubs, players, parents and supporters to respect Referee's, value them and make them welcome at your ground.
When there isn't an appointed Referee for your match (or when the appointed Referee fails to arrive) the match must go ahead with the teams mutually agreeing on a replacement Referee
(qualified or not) to officiate the match.
Where Clubs fail to agree on a replacement Referee, the match will be deemed as unfullfilled and the offending Club(s) will be dealt with in accordance with League rules, points may be deducted and a fine levied.
CLUB REFEREE'S & ASSISTANT REFEREE'S.
When a member of a club is either Refereeing or running the line, he/she is NOT permitted to coach the team.
In these circumstances the club official must solely focus on the role of referee or assistant referee.
BECOME A REFEREE.
Are you interested in becoming a Referee next season?
If so, there are regular training courses arranged by the Notts F.A.
Go to the Notts F.A. website on our links page for more details or contact David Coote at the Notts F.A. on 0115 941 8954.

Calverton MW v West Bridgford Tigers. U.16 Cup 17-11-07.
Division 3 side West Bridgford Tigers took on Division 1 side Calverton MW in this Cup game. Tigers management paid this compliment to Calverton.
'We would like to comment on the good sportsmanship of Calverton MW, also they played amazing football.
Despite the final scoreline (8-0) it was an education to watch Calverton. Their behaviour was always competitive but never nasty, in terms of play they kept the ball on the ground, passed well into space, created a lot of chances, kept their shape and discipline and generally gave us a demonstration of good football.
Referee Bill Strain is the best we have had'
Carlton 2000 v Pegasus Youth. U.16. Div 2. 1-12-07.
Carlton 2000 won this game 4-2, afterwards Pegasus Youth management made the following comments about the game.
'We would like to praise Carlton 2000's Manager, players and parents for their sportsmanship. Also Referee Graham Legg was excellent and had a brilliant game'
Congratulations to Sean Butler for completing his 200th appearance for Cotgrave Colts in the midweek game on the 27th March. Sean who currently plays for the Under 15's also notched a couple of goals in the match with Netherfield Colts Blue but he could not win it for his team, who had to settle for a draw.
A remarkable achievement Sean, Well done!
Congratulations to Liam Draper of Priory celtic Dynamos U.15's on scoring his 100th goal for the Club on Saturday 23rd February. Liam notched up his century in fine style by bagging a hat trick and ensuring a win for his team.
Something to be very proud of Liam. Well done!
Congratulations to Roman Easom who scored his 100th goal for Burton Joyce on Saturday 2nd February. Roman is currently playing for the under 16's and notched up his century in the last minute of the game to salvage a point for his side.
Fabio knows where to find you now Roman! Well done.
Congratulations to Liam Tuck who plays for Long Eaton United Blue Under 16's. He notched up his 100th goal for the Club on the 22nd September and immediately set about his next 100 by notching a hat trick on the 29th September.
A fantastic achievement Liam, Well Done!
Well done to Josh Hooley who plays for Long Eaton United Blue Under 16's. He scored his 50th goal for the Club on the 6th October.
PRAISE FROM THE REF !

Gotham Rangers v Trent Rangers. U.15(Sun). 24/02. Brian Ridgard praised both Clubs.
Southchurch Colts v Pelican Colts, U.15 Cup. 01/03. Brian Ridgard praised both Clubs.
Ruddington Colts v Long Eaton United A. U.16. Div 1. 12/01.
Brian Kilburn writes:-
Two good sides who wanted to play football. No back chat from any of the players all the way through the match, not one bad comment from the side lines also. This match was a credit to both teams and staff and every one else involved. Some other teams could learn from this!
Matrixgrade FC v West Bridgford Colts A. 08/12.
Jed Riley writes:-
Only through the efforts of Matrixgrade's Pat and Wayne did this fixture stand a chance of being played.
In atrocious weather conditions the two sides played out a game that was close right up to the last ten minutes. The match was played in great spirit and was easily the best game I have been involved in this season, not once was I called upon to award a foul for a late challenge.
I have a rule which I try to adhere to from picking out individuals in such matches, today I am prepared to break that rule;
Sean Cope the Matrixgrade goalkeeper was simply outstanding!
Calverton M.W.v Rolls Royce. U.16. Div 1. 22/9.
Brian Kilburn praised both Clubs.
Rolls Royce.v Worksop Town. Senior. Div 1. 22/9.
Colin Langton praised both Clubs.
Woodhouse Colts v Radcliffe Olympic. Senior Cup. 13/10.
Jed Riley writes:-
I think it is important not to go overboard when it comes to praising teams, but I really must mention these two teams. Woodhouse have some big lads but at no stage did this phase Radcliffe who contested every ball and took the game to Woodhouse at every opportunity. On reflection the home side were worth the win, but today youth football was the real winner.
