- RESPECT. YOU ARE PART OF IT !
16 Aug 2010
The Nottinghamshire FA launched its Programme on 15th February 2009. The Notts Youth League are one of many Leagues in the County who have signed up to this Initiative and fully support it.
This is part of a national programme to improve touchline behaviour by coachs, managers, parents and spectators towards referees and youth players. We want to get everybody agreeing to and enforcing the Codes of Conduct for players, coaches and Parents/supporters, helping to create fun and safe playing environments.
The programme will help us in:
Supporting existing referees to stay in the game
Recruiting more referees 8,000 in the next four years
Creating fun and safe playing environments
Educating people on what is acceptable and unacceptable behaviour
Addressing poor and unacceptable behaviour towards referees and youngsters
Taking action against those committing abuse.
For up to date news on the Programme visit www.Thefa.com and see Ray Winstone the FAs new video and the new Respect On- Line Parents Guide.
All teams in the Notts Youth League are expected to comply with this initiative and ensure that:
Team captains wear the FA Respect armbands
Spectators are at least 2 metres from the touchline either by use of respect barriers, posts & ropes, cones or marked line parallel to the touchline.
Spectators comply with the FA Codes of Conduct
If this programme is successful it will lead to:
MORE REFEREES
MORE PLAYERS
MORE ENJOYMENT.
LOSE RESPECT AND YOU LOSE THE GAME
