- CLUB WELFARE OFFICERS
18 Aug 2010
The FA made it a mandatory requirement for season 2008-09 that Club Welfare Officers (CWOs) had submitted a CRB application form to the Media Group.
To enable your Club to be affiliated for Season 2009-10 The FA then made it mandatory that your Club Welfare Officer had the following qualifications:-
. A current enhanced CRB Certificate.
. A current Safeguarding Children Certificate.
For the New Season (2010-2011) there will be a further change. Your Club Welfare Officer will be required to have:-
. A current CRB Certificate.
. Attended a Safeguarding Childrens Workshop.
. Attended a Welfare Officers Workshop.
Both workshop certificates should be in date, they need to be renewed every three years.
Without these qualifications your Club will not be able to be affiliated to the Notts FA!
You will find courses for these two workshops on the Notts FA website. Or contact the Notts FA for further details and to get an application form.
Alternatively speak to the League Welfare Officers Bill Chambers or Norma Hatfield.
All Club Welfare Officers need to be checking that any admin regarding safeguarding is accurate and that EVERY adult coming into contact with the football teams, e.g. manager, coach, secretary etc, should have their CRB check, which the Club Welfare Officer should also check.
Any queries, problems etc please do not hesitate to contact Bill Chambers, the League Welfare Officer.
